
Guideline For Membership Certification – Member Certification
Life Member LMCET(I) & Member MCET(I)
Eligibility:
Age:
Minimum 30 years on the date of application.
Qualification:
- Engineering Graduate (B.E. or B. Tech) from any recognized Institution or AMCET(I)/AMICE/ AMIET/AMIME or any other classes of Associate Membership of a renowned institution.
- Other qualifications may be accepted in consultation with the Membership Department
Experience:
- Minimum post-qualification experience should be 8 years.
- In case of Self-Employed/ Consultant Engineers or those holding relatively lower position of responsibility like Sub Asst. Engineer, Supervisor, Overseer etc. minimum requirement of post qualification experience should be 10 years.
Benefit:
- Corporate Members of CET(I) can use the style MCET(I) or LMCET(I) [In case of Life Member] with his or her name and qualification.
- Corporate Members of CET(I) will receive updates about CET(I) programmes like seminar workshops etc. conducting Pan India.
- Corporate Members of CET(I) will get free access to CET(I) Web Journal.
- Corporate Members of CET(I) will get special benefits while applying for any Govt. or Corporate Sectors as Valuers, Project Managers, Assessors, or more.

- The Council at its 689th meeting held at Ahmedabad approved a new grade of membership – Student Membership (SMIE) – meant for undergraduate students pursuing BE/B.Tech (AICTE approved) or equivalent qualification, completion of which will make them eligible for Corporate Membership. Necessary modifications have already been incorporated in the Bye-Laws. As decided by the Council, the salient points regarding this new membership grade are given below:

Qualification: | BE/B.Tech/ AMCET/AMIE/AMICE/AMIME. |
Experience: | 15 Years post qualification Experience. |
Membership subscription: | Rs.500/- per year. |
Upgradation Pattern: | MCET /FCET to P. ENG (Member to Fellow) |
Registration Charges: | Rs. 5500/- |
Criteria: | Lifetime Membership. |

Qualification: | BE/B.Tech/ AMCET/AMIE/AMICE/AMIME. |
Experience: | 15 Years post qualification Experience. |
